The process begins by averaging key measurements—seat height, seat angle, backrest angle, overall height, width, depth—from iconic 20th century classics by designers, Eames, Perriand, Jeanneret, Prouvé, Breuer, Mies van der Rohe and others. With this data in place, vertical planes are dropped down and pushed in to accommodate backs of heels, minimum distance to avoid tipping backwards, grab-ability, etc. Color is added to define shapes. The process repeats for other categories.
